Privacy Policy
Last reviewed: 5 August 2026
1. Who we are
Corunit Media Corp is a digital marketing firm registered in the United States, at 215 RXR Plaza, Uniondale, NY 11553. In this policy “we,” “us” and “Corunit” mean Corunit Media Corp. “You” means anyone whose personal information we hold.
This policy covers information we collect through corunit.com and in the course of providing our services. Where we handle information on behalf of a client, that client is the data controller and their own privacy policy governs it — see section 6.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Contact details you submit through a form, an audit request or an email — typically name, email address, phone number and company
- Information you include in an enquiry, proposal discussion or job application, including any documents or links you send us
- Account and billing information if you become a client
Information collected automatically when you visit the site:
- IP address, browser type, device type and operating system
- Pages viewed, time on page, referring source and the search or link that brought you here
- Cookie identifiers, subject to your consent where consent is required
We do not intentionally collect special category or sensitive personal information through this website. Please do not include health information, financial account numbers or government identifiers in a contact form.
3. Why we collect it
- To respond to you. If you ask for an audit or send an enquiry, we need your contact details to reply.
- To provide our services. Account management, reporting, billing and support.
- To improve the site. Understanding which pages are useful and which are not.
- To market our own services, where you have opted in or where we have a legitimate interest and you have not objected. Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link.
- To meet legal obligations, including tax, accounting and records retention.
- To assess job applications where you apply to work with us.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: keeping the site working, understanding how it is used, and measuring whether our own advertising is effective.
- Essential cookies keep the site functioning. These cannot be switched off through the site.
- Analytics cookies tell us which pages get read and where people leave. This is aggregate and we do not use it to identify individuals.
- Advertising cookies may be set by third-party platforms where we run our own campaigns.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies will not stop the site working.
Where a browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information as those terms are defined under applicable state privacy law.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with:
- Service providers who work for us — hosting, email delivery, CRM, analytics and payment processing — under contracts that limit what they may do with it
- Advertising platforms, where we run our own marketing and where you have consented
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary
- Authorities, where we are legally required to do so
- An acquirer, if the business is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply until it is replaced with notice
6. Data we process for clients
Much of our work involves handling data that belongs to our clients rather than to us — their customer lists, their CRM records, their website analytics. In that relationship the client is the controller and Corunit acts as a processor. We handle that data only on their instructions and under a written agreement.
Where a client is a healthcare covered entity, we operate under a Business Associate Agreement and the relevant HIPAA obligations. Where a client is a financial services firm, additional confidentiality and records requirements may apply. If you are a customer or patient of one of our clients and want to exercise a right over your data, contact that organisation directly — they hold the relationship and the record.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become client relationships are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation you started. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement plus the period required for tax and legal purposes, typically seven years. Job applications are kept for 12 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the platform concerned.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- Correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising
- Withdraw consent where we relied on it
- Complain to a supervisory authority
To exercise any of these, email ray@corunit.com. We will respond within the period required by the law that applies to you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
9. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricting client data to the people working on that account. No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information and the law requires us to tell you, we will.
10. Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change or when the law does. The review date at the top of the page tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
